While signed in to HandTrail, open:

HandTrail requires you to deliberately confirm the deletion before the request is completed.

What is deleted

Deleting your account removes your HandTrail authentication account and account-linked private state. Account information that identifies you as an active HandTrail player is removed or de-identified as part of the deletion process.

Private operational data that depends on your account, including active account relationships and private conversation state, may also be removed as part of account deletion.

What may remain

HandTrail objects are designed to accumulate a permanent journey. Deleting one player must not erase an object's history or the history created by other players.

For that reason, portions of permanent object journey history may remain after deletion in a de-identified form. References that previously connected that history to your active HandTrail profile are removed.

HandTrail may retain an opaque historical holder value where needed to preserve facts such as the number of distinct holders an object has had. That historical value is not your live HandTrail account or profile identifier.

If you are carrying an object

Deleting your account does not destroy a HandTrail object that you currently hold.

An eligible carried object is released from the deleted account into HandTrail's recovery system. The object becomes holderless and may be recovered through HandTrail's Rescue gameplay under the normal location and eligibility rules.

The previous holder period is closed and the object's permanent trail records that the release resulted from account deletion without keeping the deleted player's active identity attached to that history.

Deletion timing

HandTrail processes the in-app account deletion request against the HandTrail account and backend when the deletion succeeds.

This page does not claim that unrelated systems, device backups, service-provider backups or records that may be legally required to be retained are erased instantaneously.
